Dr. Dines grew up in Calumet City, IL. She attended the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana. She recieved her Bachelor's in Animal Science in 2011 and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2015.
After veterinary school, she moved back to Northwest Indiana and started working as a shelter veterinarian. Dr. Dines managed an influenza outbreak early in her career and was invited to complete a shelter medicine residency with the University of Wisconsin, which she finished in 2020 and became in a boarded shelter medicine specialist in 2023.
She has spent time in general practice and enjoyed working with some of the wonderful doctors at St. John Animal Clinic.
Dr. Dines decided to form her own business in 2021 and enjoys being able to practice in a variety of ways. She is still deeply involved in shelter medicine, while also filling in at practices local and far to provide cats and dogs excellent care.
When not working, you can find her spending time with her high school sweetheart, Alex, and her rescue cats and dogs, all of which are pictured throughout the website. She jokes that volleyball is her second career and you can see her scrambling around the court locally.

Dr. Brenda Dines understands the stress that may be associated with bringing your pet to a veterinary clinic. This is why she offers in-home services including wellness visits and vaccinations, basic medical treatment and end-of-life care.
Behind on surgeries? Need to catch up on spays and neuters for your adoptable animals? Part of our in-home clientele and need surgery for your pet? Dr. Dines and her team of technicians and assistants provide safe, well-monitored anesthesia and surgery services.
With experience and confidence in small animal medicine and surgery, you can feel comfortable that your practice or shelter is in good hands while your veterinarian is away.
